MASHANTUCKET, CT (November 8, 2021)– To help spread joy to boys and girls across the state, The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino are proud to announce the return of its seasonal giving campaign, “Stuff the Bus.” For the ninth year in a row, they are collecting unwrapped toys, blankets, pajamas, jackets and diapers in support of the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and its “Tommy Toy” Fund program.
This year’s annual campaign is running now through December 10. During the six-week campaign, contributions will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. until midnight daily at the Foxwoods Parking Garage entrances.
“2021 was another challenging year for many families across the state, and we remains steadfast in our commitment to support the local community – and our partnership with United Way of Southeastern Connecticut helps us do just that,” said Jason Guyot, President and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino. “Last year, we were able to donate thousands of toys, clothing and supplies to children in need, and our goal is to double that this year. We hope to see the community come out and support this worthy cause and fill the bus with great gifts to keep children warm and happy this holiday season.”
The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and its enterprises continue to embrace ongoing commitment to giving back to the community through dozens of initiatives including providing more than two million meals to local individuals and families in Southeastern, CT. These annual programs continue as part of a long-standing partnership between the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center, located in New London, Connecticut, along with the employees, guests and friends of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino.
