Foxwoods Resort Casino and The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center are proud to be named the “Best of the Best” in two categories of the 7th Annual Best of Readers' Choice Awards presented by The Day. The Grand Pequot Tower Hotel was named #1 for the Best Hotel, Inn, Bed & Breakfast and The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center was named the Best Museum by The Day readers. Foxwoods was also named a 2021 Best of the Best finalist for Regional Gambling and Casino and Area Attraction, and High Roller Luxury Lanes was named as a finalist for Best Bowling Alley. This award recognizes the best people, places, and businesses in southeastern Connecticut and is voted on by local readers and members of the community. VUE 24 received the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards “Award of Excellence 2019” for its outstanding wine list. Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler
Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler was honored by the Eastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce as Citizen of the Year 2019. The Citizen of the Year award is presented annually to an individual who has made outstanding strides on behalf of the civic and business community. Chairman Butler’s nomination reflects years of devoted service to the entire eastern Connecticut region in his roles as Chairman and Tribal Council Treasurer of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council.

Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler
Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council Chairman Rodney Butler was honored as a recipient of the John Kieffer Memorial Award 2019, awarded by the National Indian Gaming Association. Named in honor of the late John Kieffer of the Spokane tribe, recipients of this prestigious award are chosen based on their embodiment of NIGA's mission of protecting and preserving the welfare of tribes striving for self-sufficiency through gaming enterprises in Indian Countries. This honor reflects Chairman Butler’s outstanding leadership during his tenure on the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council.

Lake of Isles, Foxwoods’ premier golf course, was ranked on Golfweek’s 2019 list of Top 200 Resort Courses. Every year, Golfweek’s elite team of 850 course raters surveys more than 3,600 courses and grades each nominated course on the basis of Golfweek’s 10 strict standards of evaluation. Lake of Isles is a 36-hole Rees Jones-designed golf club that challenges players with over 7,300 yards of manicured fairways and greens.

Both the Grand Pequot Tower and The Fox Tower were named a Four Diamond Hotels by AAA. The AAA Diamond Program recognizes the upper echelon of hotels and just 6.3 percent of the more than 27,000 AAA Inspected & Approved hotels make the Four Diamond list. The Grand Pequot Tower features an exquisitely appointed lobby and twenty-three stories of deluxe rooms and suites. The Fox Tower boasts modern design, beautifully appointed rooms and an ever-accommodating team.

Several Foxwoods establishments were named in the Connecticut Magazine Best of Connecticut 2019 list in the fun and leisure category.
