MASHANTUCKET, CT (October 15, 2021) – Foxwoods® Resort Casino is reporting slot revenue of $31 million for the month of September 2021. This results in a $7.75 million direct payment to the State of Connecticut in accordance with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s long-standing slot revenue contribution agreement. Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has deposited over $4.4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue directly into the state’s budget fund.
As part of Foxwoods’ invitation for guests to Live Out Loud, the resort casino hosted Drag Binglo on September 18 -- a night full of glow bingo, fabulous drag queen hosts, and a DJ spinning high-energy hits. Hosted by local Connecticut drag superstars Loosey LaDuca and Natalia Fierce, Drag Binglo provided attendees the chance to win over $30,000 in cash and prizes including concert tickets, surprise giveaways and more.
On September 30, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and DraftKings, Inc. launched retail sports betting at Foxwoods. Players are now able to place bets at the temporary DraftKings Sportsbook at Foxwoods -- located at the Ultimate Race Book in Rainmaker Casino -- in addition to betting kiosks located across the resort. Prior to its opening, Foxwoods hosted two hiring days on September 8 and September 14 to fill a variety of positions including servers, bartenders, restaurant managers and more.
