MASHANTUCKET, CT (February 5, 2020) – Foxwoods Resort Casino, the Northeast’s premier resort destination, is inviting sweethearts to celebrate the most romantic night of the year with indulgent Valentine’s Day dining specials. Foxwoods’ award-winning restaurants are offering charming specials that are guaranteed to help guests of all tastes and budgets set the perfect romantic mood.
Alta Strada
Love is in the air at Alta Strada with their four-course preset menu for two. The delicious specials include chilled lobster cocktail for the first course and homemade pappardelle pasta with braised short ribs, oven- dried cherry tomatoes and finished with parmesan for the second course. For the main course, guests will enjoy pan seared red snapper with an aromatic butternut squash risotto and sautéed mussels. The final course boasts Bombolini for dessert! These fresh Italian donuts are served with a warm Nutella and strawberry sauce.
Caputo Trattoria
Lovebirds will enjoy traditional Italian fare at Caputo Trattoria, with Valentine’s Day specials including a lobster ravioli appetizer with sherry herb butter, fricassee of peas and wild mushrooms. The main entrée specials include roasted duck breast agrodolce with butternut squash risotto, winter vegetables and a roasted cherry balsamic glaze as well as chicken cacciatore with natural herb jus, buttered rice and roasted green beans. Additionally, what’s Valentine’s Day without a decadent dessert? Guests can indulge with a warm mixed berry bread pudding served with Limoncello crème anglaise and toasted almonds.
Cedars Steaks & Oysters
Foxwoods’ signature steakhouse is preparing a variety of Valentine’s Day specials, including a scrumptious roasted rainbow beet and goat cheese salad starter with candied walnuts and a passion fruit vinaigrette. The entrée special boasts a center-cut filet mignon with Maine lobster served with sautéed green beans and a roasted shallot-merlot glaze or colossal shrimp and pan-seared sea scallops scampi accompanied with sautéed spinach, heirloom tomatoes, roasted garlic and fresh basil cream sauce. For a delectable finish, try the mixed berry chocolate cake with Chambord sauce and crème fraîche Chantilly.
David Burke Prime Steakhouse
Diners will be delighted by the classic and creative preparations at David Burke Prime Steakhouse this Valentine’s Day. Appetizer specials include a Kumomoto oyster and caviar plate or pan-seared diver scallops. For their entrée, guests can choose from surf and turf featuring 40-day dry-aged 18oz Kansas City sirloin, herb-marinated crab legs or roasted duck breast agrodolce. For dessert, guests have the option to try the molten chocolate cake served with vanilla bean gelato, macadamia crumble and raspberry rose sauce or vanilla raspberry Napoleon with pistachio dacquoise and ganache – or both!
Sugar Factory
Take your sweetheart to one of the sweetest restaurants at Foxwoods this Valentine’s Day! Sugar Factor is offering a prix fixe menu with the option to add a diamond rose goblet. Dining specials include an appetizer of mac and cheese pops as well as a pan roasted salmon entrée. However, the real showstopper is the Valentine’s fondue for two dessert: This pink and white chocolate fondue is topped with strawberry chocolate shavings and a gummy heart and is surrounded by bites of red velvet cake, vanilla cake, brownies, gummy kisses, gummy hearts, strawberries and bananas for dipping.
Veranda Café
This Valentine’s Day, Foxwoods’ staple Veranda Café is offering a special Valentine’s Day Dinner Pop Up from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. This prix fixe dinner for two includes choice of two delicious appetizers including baked oysters or shrimp cocktail and two main entrées including grilled N.Y. strip au poivre with roasted asparagus and Yukon mashed potatoes or pan roasted Atlantic Salmon with roasted sweet potato and a saffron lemon butter, plus two salads and the decadent dessert buffet. Additionally, each guest will receive a complementary glass of champagne and a parting gift, making your romantic dining experience complete!
VUE 24
Located atop the 24th floor of Grand Pequot Tower, VUE 24 offers unbeatable views and the most romantic dining experience in Connecticut, according to The Daily Meal. Valentine’s Day specials include a field greens salad with Vermont goat cheese and toasted walnuts, topped with a strawberry citrus vinaigrette. For your main dish, guests can indulge in a roasted A5 Wagyu filet mignon accompanied by a butter poached Stonington lobster, grilled asparagus, truffle scented pomme purée, and a red wine demi glaze. For dessert, save room for the decadent chocolate raspberry cake for two.
