Leadership
Jason Guyot
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jason has been instrumental in evolving Foxwoods Resort Casino into a fully integrated resort destination, adding amenities such as Tanger Outlet Mall at Foxwoods, the High Flyer Zipline, Sugar Factory, Monza World Class Karting, Draft Kings Sportsbook, Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen and much more. His work led him to being appointed to President & CEO of Foxwoods in April of 2020 – the first Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Member to lead the organization. With the resort closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic at the time, Jason worked to restructure the organization, successfully reopening the resort on June 1, 2020.
Since that time, the resort has nearly doubled its profitability while also increasing team member engagement and marketing efforts. In November 2021, Foxwoods opened a DraftKings Sportsbook in their Great Cedar Casino, redefining the sports betting experience in the Northeast. Most recently, Jason successfully negotiated a landmark deal with Great Wolf Lodge, which will be opening a 350 million dollar next generation lodge at Mashantucket in spring of 2025 and further solidifying the future success at Foxwoods.
Jason began working at Foxwoods in 2003 shortly after earning his bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Mitchell College. During the start of his career at Foxwoods, he held numerous roles within Human Resources and traveled internationally for several years overseeing recruitment programs abroad for the resort casino. He was promoted to Director of Employment & Diversity in 2005, and in 2007 transitioned into property operations as Director of Operations and Shared Services during the MGM Grand at Foxwoods expansion. In this position, he played a key role in the opening of the property; its ongoing success led him to grow within the company, securing positions as Executive Director of Hotel Operations and Vice President of Hotel Operations for the Foxwoods hotel collection.
His continued commitment to quality and service led him to be promoted to VP of Resort Operations and Development in 2014, where he led master planning efforts while also overseeing property operations. Jason was then promoted to Senior Vice President of Resort Operations in 2018 and led Foxwoods’ operations, as well as property development efforts, prior to becoming President & CEO.
Jason is very involved with the local community and sits on several boards, including Special Olympics CT, CT Restaurant Association, CT Business Association (CBIA), Mitchell College Board of Trustees and was appointed to the CT Tourism Council representing Casino and Gaming by Governor Ned Lamont.
