MASHANTUCKET, CT (December 15, 2021) – Foxwoods® Resort Casino is reporting slot revenue of $28.2 million for the month of November 2021. This results in a $7 million direct payment to the State of Connecticut in accordance with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s long-standing slot revenue contribution agreement. Since 1993, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has deposited over $4.4 billion of Foxwoods’ slot revenue directly into the state’s budget fund.
Last month, Foxwoods announced the soft launch of the highly anticipated Foxwoods El San Juan Casino, located at the iconic Fairmont El San Juan Hotel in Puerto Rico. On November 17, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods, in partnership with LionGrove, held a ribbon cutting and officially welcomed thousands of guests through the new casino’s doors.
Earlier this month, Foxwoods celebrated the grand opening of the permanent DraftKings Sportsbook at Foxwoods. Guests can now bet, dine and play at the new two-story, 12,000-plus square foot integrated retail sportsbook. The DraftKings Sportsbook at Foxwoods includes wall-to-wall televisions, anchored by one of the largest LED screens in the industry at 50 feet by 30 feet, multiple VIP rooms, two full bars with 24 beers on tap, and a full restaurant that offers game-day favorites including burgers and wings.
Foxwoods is also celebrating the grand opening of Sprinkletown, Chef Zac Young’s latest and sweetest venture, as well as Mystic Market Kitchen & Eatery, the newest location of CT’s most beloved gourmet bistro on December 15. These two new eateries, both located in the Great Cedar Concourse, are the perfect spots to grab prepared food and sweet treats for all your upcoming holiday celebrations.
The holiday season is in full swing at Foxwoods. The Foxwoods Skating Rink and Winter Patio opened last month and the most wonderful time of the year officially started with Foxwoods’ annual tree lighting on December 4. Guests were dazzled by performances from Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, R&B star Ashanti and carolers as Foxwoods lit up the season. Foxwoods’ signature restaurant Cedars Steaks & Oysters is accepting reservations for its over-the-top, Christmas wonderland-themed dining experience through the end of the year. Plus, it will get even more magical on December 18 and 19 with a visit from Santa Claus! Treat your family to a spectacular brunch with Santa and capture your Christmas pictures with jolly old St. Nick himself.
Foxwoods also has some fabulous celebrations planned to ring in the New Year. The epic sendoff to 2021 includes musically themed parties at each of Foxwoods’ three hotels, live DJs, a Motown band, silent disco and giveaways throughout the day on New Year’s Eve. Plus, pop trio AJR is performing their chart-topping hits in the Premier Theater, and there will be a massive balloon drop at Midnight in the Grand Pequot Rotunda as we welcome in 2022.
